Body Mass Index or (BMI) is the individuals bodyweight divided by the square of his/her height. BMI is useful more as a statistical device for drawing conclusions about large groups than it is a measure of individual health. That being said BMIi can be useful in drawing general conclusions about your own body weight, but since it does not take into consideration % body fat or % muscle mass it is not an accurate measure of health.
